Scheme Name :

- Entrepreneurship Development and Employment Generation (EDEG) - Poultry Venture Capital Fund (PVCF)

Objective :

Enhance employment opportunities in rural areas
To encourage entrepreneurship in various poultry activities and provide capacity building for employment opportunities
To improve production of poultry products and productivity of processing units through technology upgradation and also encourage introduction of innovative technology.
To encourage rearing of other poultry species like quails, ducks, and turkeys etc. which have good potential.

Pattern of Assistance :

Eligibility Criteria :

Beneficiary Contribution should be more than 10% of project cost
Minimum Lock in period of TL – 3 Years
Family members of the same family can apply for Subsidy. But both projects should be located atleast 500m apart.
Multiple units are not allowed for a single entity.

Post Approval Conditions :

Project Should be completed within 12 months from the date of Disbursement of 1^st installment of TL
Max 3 months maybe extended, based on proper justification by FI
Repayment Period of TL: 5 to 9 years with Grace period of 6 months to one year.
Should have a signboard displaying “Assisted under EDEG by Department of Animal Husbandary Dairying and Fisheries, Government of India through NABARD”
