In exercise of the powers conferred under Paragraphs 2.04 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2015-2020, the Director-General of Foreign Trade hereby allocates an additional quantity of 745 MTRV (Seven Hundred and Forty-Five Metric Ton Raw Value) raw cane sugar, out of non-levy (Free Sale) quota for export under Tariff Rate Quota (TRQ) to the USA for the fiscal year 2020 (October 1, 2019, to September 30, 2020). With this additional allocation, the quantity for export of sugar to the USA under TRQ during US fiscal year 2020 would be as under: -

- Export of sugar (HS Code 17010000) to USA under TRQ is 'Free' subject to the conditions notified in the 'Nature of Restrictions' in Notification No. 3/2015-20 dated 20.04.2015. The reporting requirement to APEDA as specified in the said Notification would be followed.
- Certificate of Origin, if required, for export of preferential sugar to the USA, shall be issued by Additional Director General of Foreign Trade, Mumbai. Other certification requirements, if any, prescribed specifically for export of sugar to the USA would continue to be followed.
- Effect of this Public Notice: An additional quantity of 745 MTRV (Seven Hundred and Forty-Five Metric Ton Raw Value) of raw cane sugar, for export to the USA, under TRQ up to 09.2020, has been notified.
