Capital Investment Subsidy Scheme for Vegetable and Fruit Market Waste compost, and Biofertilizers – Biopesticides Production Units

Scheme Overview

Objectives :

  1. To generate self-employment and provide infrastructure for dairy sector.
  2. To set up modern dairy farms and infrastructure for production of clean milk.
  3. To encourage heifer calf rearing for conservation and development of good breeding stock.
  4. To bring structural changes in the unorganized sector, so that initial processing of milk can be taken up at the village level.
  5. To upgrade traditional technology to handle milk on a commercial scale and to provide value addition to milk through processing and production of milk products.

 

Eligible Beneficiaries :

  1. Farmers
  2. Individual Entrepreneurs
  3. Groups of unorganized and organized Sector.
  4. Includes Self-Help Groups on behalf of their members
  5. Dairy Cooperative societies
  6. Milk unions on behalf of their members
  7. Milk federations
  8. Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) etc.
  • Note  :
  1. Members of the family can apply under the same scheme at a time. (provided they set up separate units with separate infrastructure at different locations).
  2. The distance between the boundaries of two such farms should be at least 500 mts.
  3. An applicant will be eligible to avail assistance for all components under the scheme but only once for each component.

  1. General - 10 animals subject to Rs.17,500 per animal (or) actual whichever is lower.
  2. SC/ST - 10 animals subject to Rs.23,300 per animal (or) actual whichever is lower.

Rearing of heifer calves – cross bred indigenous descript milch breeds of cattle and of graded buffaloes – up to 20 calves

Max Cap - Rs. 9.70 lakh for 20 calf.

Max - 20 calves.

General - 25% of the project cost

SC/ST - 33.33 % of the project cost

Max ceiling

  1. General - 20 calfs subject to Rs.12,100 per calf (or) actual whichever is lower.
  2. SC/ST - 20 calfs subject to Rs.23,300 per calf (or) actual whichever is lower.

Vermi compost with milch animal unit.

  1. General - Rs 65,000/- and Rs 50,000/-
  2. SC/ST - Rs 86,600/- and Rs 66,600/- respectively for mobile and stationary clinics (or) actual whichever is lower.

Dairy marketing outlet / Dairy parlour

Rs. 3 lakh

General - 25% of the project cost

SC/ST - 33.33 % of the project cost

Max ceiling

  1. General - Rs 75,000 (or) actual whichever is lower.
  2. SC/ST – 1,00,000 (or) actual whichever is lower.


Nature of subsidy
 : 
Back ended Capital Investment Subsidy (adjusted against last few instalments of repayment of the bank loan)

Entrepreneur contribution :

  1. 1 lakh* - 10% of project (*Subject to any revision in RBI guidelines)
  2. The contribution of 10% shall not be required for loans less than Rs.1 lakh.

Linkage with credit Assistance under the scheme shall be purely credit linked and subject to sanction of the Project by eligible financial institutions.

Time limit for Completion of the project : Max - 9 months from the date of disbursement of the first instalment of loan (except for calf rearing units).

RepaymentRepayment Period will vary between 3-7 years depending on the nature of the activity and cash flow.
